Mom's New Attitude Reveals New Son

I'm in the Oklahoma Partners in Policymaking class that you presented for last weekend. I want to say THANK YOU so much for opening my eyes! I feel like I'm meeting a whole new person in my son, Daniel. In the back of my mind I'm still kicking myself—that for the first 15 years of his life he's had no say about his own life—what have I done?!?

Thanks to what I learned from your presentation, I'm asking now, AND HE IS TELLING ME!!!!! I can only imagine what he'll have to say when he gets his communication device and I can understand more!

Here's one of so many examples that happened when I got home after your presentation: I asked, "Daniel, do you want to pick out your own clothes for school?" (I've always gotten his clothes out for him!) He said, "No... Yes..." Then he walked to his closet, flipped through his shirts and said, "No, no, no—AH, HA—This one, Mom!"

I am so excited about this new chapter in our lives and I have you to thank for bringing it to my attention!!! Thanks for ALL you do!!!
